Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.
Psalm 150
On August 8, 2014, I had my annual MRI. I had been continuing to go to Iowa City every since treatment but had decided to switch to Des Moines doctors since I had been doing so well and to also cut out all the travel. The MRI was at Methodist Hospital and my friend, Ali was the one who got to do it.
On Monday the 11th, I had my appointment with my oncologist. Zac stayed home with Jacob and I went by myself since we were expecting no changes. My oncologist was excited to share that the tumor is again considered stable...and even a little smaller. I asked if this was normal since it had been 5 years since treatment. Her words were, "I wouldn't say it's normal...maybe you've been pulling strings up above." We know you can't pull God's strings so we take that as a miracle.
After I left the appointment I started questioning if I actually heard my doctor right. : ) I called my friend Ali to see if she was able to see the report from the radiologist. She talked to the radiologist who said, "It's the best it's ever looked."
We are so thankful for all God has done over these seven years, every high and every low. Praise the LORD.
