This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118: 24
Zac and I had a great weekend. It was good to be home again and hug both my sisters! I think I was a bit ambitious this weekend and by Sunday night I was kind of tired and on the verge of a headache. But the slight headache passed (!) and we headed to bed early. I'm finding that short visits are best as I get tired and tension builds in my shoulders the more I'm talking throughout the day.
My mom is staying in Iowa City with me for the week (it's nice having her all to myself for a few days!) We've had a great day together. We both have been enjoying the beautiful weather - it made me think of the verse above - let us rejoice and be glad in this day!! God has created every minute of every day, He is the author of every point in time and we are so thankful for this day He has given to us. We were even able to walk to my app't this afternoon. I'm getting to know all of my staff and they make me feel so comfortable. I feel surrounded by God's love every minute of the day.
I feel like my posts have been kind of boring lately! But no news is good news right now! God is in control every step of the way and we are so thankful for His peace, His love, His mercies. His grace. Please continue to pray for no bleeding or swelling. I've been on chemo for a week now and continue to pray that my blood counts will remain at normal levels. We update the prayer requests at the side every once and awhile - and we are so thankful for all the prayers, support, cards, comments, encouragement.
