Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.
For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. The LORD foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance. From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth - he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do. No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you. Psalm 33

So after last night's post, my headache kept getting worse. I had to stay up to take my 10:00 medication, but only wanted to sleep because I knew that sleep was about the only thing that would take it away. But I also wondered - how am I going to sleep when I get up several times in the night because of all the water I have to drink with my meds?! However, I was exhausted after not sleeping much the night before and fell asleep immediately at 10:30. The FIRST time I woke up wasn't until 1:30 and the headache was gone!! That was the longest I had slept in a long time...and beyond that, there was already no headache! I lay in bed at 1:30AM, praising God! It may sound silly to some to be shouting for joy, but the thought of having headaches through this is scary and leaves me wondering sometimes - what if it doesn't go away or what if it's signaling something is worse. Because of this I continued my praise and drifted off to sleep for another 3 hours (again, amazing!) and woke at 4:30, singing praises once again.

If you haven't noticed, Zac and I enjoy the book of Psalms. And I couldn't resist including the entire chapter this time. I hope you enjoy it too! Remember to praise the LORD today for his many blessings in your life. He is faithful in all he does.

Hi Stacie & Zac - my thoughts about the Psalms is that they are a soothing balm. God uses David's laments and praises thousands of years later to remind us of His faithfulness; isn't HE awesome! I'm praying you have a restful night tonight with no headaches. When I wake up (which is often to go to the bathroom at this age) I find myself praying for you too. May you continue to sense peace from all those interceding on your behalf!! Love ya, JULIE

Hi Stacie,

Just wanted to let you know your dad and I had a great time with you on the 4th. Weather could have been nicer but just being with you both made up for all that. Thinking of you everyday and I am just thankful you are feeling somewhat better. You are in my thoughts daily.

Love you
Karla
